Work With Me

It is my belief that the answers to most things are already within you. Therapy helps you to access what you need and my job is to be your guide. I have witnessed many clients succeed and experience how much better life can be when lived in alignment!

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidenced based model using six core processes to help you learn how to become psychologically flexible; acceptance, present moment focus, cognitive defusion, noticing self, values, and committed actions. I often describe the result of this approach as developing an "internal compass" or a "pulse" in your life that will lead you towards understanding and responding to your thoughts and experiences differently. To compliment this I also use Positive Psychology, which concentrates on five key factors essential to happiness and well-being; positive emotions, engagement, meaning, relationships, and accomplishment.

Combining wellness and holistic practices with these core models leads to a strong focus on overall wellness. We will work towards achieving your optimal health by proactively addressing things like nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness... It will be an eclectic, client-centered, and overall empowering approach personalized for you!

About My Approach

$170 Intake

Before the Intake Assessment you’ll complete intake forms via the online portal. During the session, we’ll review therapy policies, discuss your concerns, I'll gather some background information, discuss your initial goals, and we begin to get to know each other.

step two: Intake Assessment

We meet for a 15-minute telehealth chat and from there determine if this is a good fit. If you decide to move forward, you can schedule your Intake Assessment right away or at your convenience through my online booking site.

step one: The Consultation Call

Consultation Call and Intake Assessment

$140 for 50 minutes,
$200 for 80 minutes

In our sessions we talk through what is happening in your life, explore past experiences and how they may be affecting you now, and collaborate together on where you want things to go. A key part of the work we do will be the relationship we share, so trust, empathy, and understanding are important. We talk about some serious stuff, but might also share some laughs together too! Therapy can be challenging and also a very uplifting and enjoyable experience.

As you build self-awareness, you’ll awaken your mind and strengthen your connection to your body. By learning new skills, you’ll start responding to life’s challenges with greater intention and balance. This is where “living in alignment” begins to happen!

The Process

Insurance companies have requirements and restrictions which limits the personalization of delivery of therapeutic services. While I do not accept insurance, I can provide a Superbill through the online portal for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have Out-of-Network (OON) benefits.

I also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payments. You simply need to use that card in the Jane app portal as your preferred payment method.

Why do you not accept insurance?

YES! Even though I specialize in working with women, I welcome male clients to book a consultation call. I have worked with many male clients over the years - my current niche simply is specialized towards working with women at this time. From the consultation call we can determine if it’s a good fit and if not, I have connections to many amazing therapists. So guys, you are welcome too!

Do you accept male clients as well?

Positive Psychology complements the ACT approach by emphasizing the positive aspects of life and empowering clients to build their lives around qualities such as happiness, satisfaction, well-being, and purpose. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or treating mental illness, Positive Psychology is a strengths-based, holistic approach that shifts the focus from dysfunction to thriving, highlighting the importance of positive emotions.

What makes Positive Psychology effective?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidenced based model using six core processes to help you learn how to become psychologically flexible; acceptance, present moment focus, cognitive defusion, noticing self, values, and committed actions. I often describe the result of this approach as developing on "internal compass" or a "pulse" in your life that will lead you towards understanding and responding your thoughts and experiences differently. To compliment this I also use Positive Psychology, which concentrates on five key factors essential to happiness and well-being; positive emotions, engagement, meaning, relationships, and accomplishment.

Why choose a therapist that uses the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model?

YES! Research continues to affirm the efficacy of receiving virtual services and highlights several reasons why it is beneficial; easy access, saves time, less delay, and relieves fear of stigma! I love meeting with clients via telehealth and have found that clients greatly appreciate the flexibility. Safety (no driving), privacy, and a solid internet connection are the must haves for telehealth services.

Is Telehealth as beneficial as in-person therapy?

I am licensed in the state of Wisconsin, so anyone across the entire state can receive therapy through telehealth! Basically if your physical body is in Wisconsin, I am able to offer services to you. However, if you are traveling outside of the state I am not able to see you because of licensing regulations.

Who can see you and where can you offer your services?
